The Rotary Club of East Nassau and the Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled changed the lives of many Bahamians yesterday with the donation of 51 Drive wheelchairs to the Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled.
During the wheelchair presentation, Minister of Social Services Loretta Butler-Turner thanked the Rotary Club of East Nassau, Ports International, Tropical Shipping, and Sir Durward Knowles for their generous donation and long standing commitment to the Bahamian community.
Presenting the much needed wheelchairs to the recipients, Adam Darville, President of the Rotary Club of East Nassau stated “This is what Rotary is all about in the Bahamas, helping people and helping the community. With this wheelchair donation, people’s lives will be changed.”
