As the Bahamas branch of Special Olympics begins its annual fundraising drive with the intent of financing the Bahamas’ athletes in international competitions, corporate partner Ports International joined in their efforts with a presentation of a monetary donation to assist in providing sports and training activities for the intellectually challenged children and adults in our community. Through its sports programs, Special Olympics Bahamas strive to provide long-term benefits to individuals’ health, self-esteem and social integration.
In presenting Mr. Forbes with Ports International’s donation, the company’s associate Shelia McSweeney remarked: “We are very pleased to support such an important cause, and we wish our Special Olympics Team Bahamas great success.”
Special Olympics Team Bahamas relies heavily on the contributions of corporate Bahamas to raise funds for their Special Olympics Athletes. The Special Olympics Bahamas representative Stanley Forbes expressed gratitude to Ports International for their generous donation.
